The Sarojin is an award winning contemporary boutique retreat, set within a 10-acre beachfront site on the Andaman Sea coast of Khao Lak, in Southern Thailand.
The vision for this retreat is of contemporary Asian style, contrasted with a very natural landscape experience. Guests staying at the hotels exclusive 56 guest residences are offered the opportunity of relaxation, freedom and inspiration, within a unique setting of luxury and secluded privacy. The site’s coastal and wetland forest ecosystem, with its distinctive and seasonally changing landscape character was carefully respected in all design decisions. Wherever possible, existing trees, palms, watercourses and landscape features were preserved within the environmentally focused planning of the hotel. An example of this design sensitivity is the age old existing Ficus tree, which forms both the physical and spiritual heart of the hotel, providing a visually stunning backdrop for the contemporary styled “Ficus Restaurant” and surrounding lotus pool. Dramatically up lit Pandanus trees, elevated timber decking, local stone clad walls, reflective pools and the crisp, clean lines of the infinity edge swimming pool are all memorable features of the property. The spa facility and treatment villas are set on stilts, within a restored wetland and river system environment, accessible only by a series of elevated timber walkways and bridges. “The Edge” beachfront restaurant is also similarly accessed by a dramatic timber walkway experience.
