The White Palace Crete, Greece
Landscape Architecture / Resort / Beach/Waterside
Maintaining a consistent presence throughout the creative process, Coopers Hill provided Concept Design services while ensuring the construction deadline was met and the vision preserved.
Originally built in the 1970s, the El Greco Hotel was transformed into The White Palace, an elegant and contemporary resort. With a challenging time frame of just sixteen weeks, the solution centred on the creation of a new arrival pavilion, complemented by white contemporary architecture and a refined landscape scheme. This approach highlighted the striking contrast between the white vernacular of traditional Greek architecture and the intense, crystalline blue of the Mediterranean Sea.
