Combining sustainable landscape practices to protect and enhance the existing natural beauty of the sites forested hillsides, with careful and creative design, the landscape of Avadina Hills is a delicate blend of preservation and design intervention. Of primary importance was to protect and retain large forest trees that were identified on the site and the reforesting of areas where additional indigenous planting was required. It was important in the landscape design process to develop a lush, tropical plant species palette that could successfully provide accent, privacy and exclusivity to the individual villas, whilst maintaining the overall feel of a natural hillside forest ecosystem.
