Surrounded by ancient rainforest and protected mangroves, Gaya Island Resort is a luxury eco retreat, located within Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. 120 beach front and hillside villas have been carefully located, to create minimal impact to the natural environment, but at the same time allow guests the opportunity to re-connect with nature and experience the varied ecosystems that the resort encompasses. Inspired by the rich art, culture and traditions of Borneo the landscape design for Gaya Island Resort, with its spa village, network of elevated timber boardwalks, fresh water lagoon and indigenous forest trees and palms, combines luxury and raw nature within the overall framework of environmental protection and preservation.
