The landscape concept for the hotel’s 5 courtyards is inspired by the 5 states of water; snow, rain, river, fog and cloud, which have been abstracted and reinterpreted as “watermarks and imprints”. To reflect the cultural richness of Henan, the hardscape materials have been carefully selected, designed and implemented to create balanced natural spaces. The courtyards have a sense of exploration within them, which is also perceived from the interior spaces. The planting design is unique in all of the courtyards, showcasing the diverse richness of landscape that thrives in Henan. All the 5 courtyards have planting that is rich in texture and reflects the changing seasons.
